My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand. My Father, who gave them me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.

JESUS saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

BELIEVE me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and greater ones than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do; that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

I AM the true Vine, and my Father is the Husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away and every one that beareth fruit he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I AM the Vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and

my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

HEREIN is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

YE have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.

VERILY, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs; but the time cometh when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from GOD. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given:

And the government shall be upon his shoulder:
And his name shall be called

Wonderful, Counsellor, GoD, the Mighty,

The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,

Upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom;

To order it, and to establish it,
With judgment and with justice,

From henceforth even for ever:

The zeal of JEHOVAH of hosts will perform this.

AND it shall be said in that day,

Lo, this is our GOD!

We have waited for him, and he will save us :
This is JEHOVAH !

We have waited for him,

We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

SEEK ye JEHOVAH, while he may be found, Call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way,

And the unrighteous man his thoughts:

And let him return to JEHOVAH, and he will have

mercy upon him;

And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

WHEREWITH shall I come before JEHOVAH,
And bow myself before the high GOD?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
With calves of a year old?

Will JEHOVAH be pleased with thousands of rams,
Or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?

Shall I give my firstborn for my transgressions,
The fruit of my body for the sins of my soul!
He hath showed thee, O man! what is good;
And what doth JEHOVAH require of thee,
But to do justly, and to love mercy,
And to walk humbly with thy God?

O COME! let us worship and bow down:

Let us kneel before the face of JEHOVAH, our Maker.

AND when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you,

They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:

PART III.

[Then shall be said the Lord's Prayer, all kneeling.1

OUR FATHER who art in the heavens; Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so also upon the earth. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

PART IV.

Amen.

[Then shall be read a portion of the Word from the Old Testament.]

PART V.

[Then a selection from the Word shall be sung, all standing.]

PART VI.

[Then shall be read a portion of the Word from the New Testament.]

PART VII.

[Then the Decalogue, either from Exodus or Deuteronomy, or the New Covenant, all which here follow, shall be read; all standing. The Responses after each Commandment may be sung or repeated by the people; Chant No. 83 to be used in the first set, and Chart No. 95 in the second.Į

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

EXODUS XX.

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, to the statutes and to the judgments, which I teach you, to do, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which JEHOVAH the GOD of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of JEHOVAH your GOD which I command you.

And God spake all these words, saying,

I.

I AM JEHOVAH thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I JEHOVAH thy God am a jealous GoD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto the thousandth generation of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Holy, holy, holy, is JEHOVAH of Hosts;

His glory is the fullness of | all the earth.

II.

Thou shalt not take the name of JEHOVAH thy GOD in vain for JEHOVAH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

He hath commanded his | covenant forever;

Holy and reverend | is his name.

III.

Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the
