[Ps. xcvi.]

1. O sing a new song to JEHOVAH : Sing to JEHOVAH, all the earth.

2. Sing to JEHOVAH, | bless his name ; Proclaim his salvation from day to day. 3. Declare his glory among the nations; His wonders among all the people.

4. For JEHOVAH is great, and greatly | to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.

5. For all the gods of the people are vanities: But JEHOVAH made the heavens.

6. Honor and majesty are before his face;

Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. 7. Give to JEHOVAH, O ye kindreds of the people, Give to JEHOVAH glory and strength.

8. Give to JEHOVAH the glory of his name:

Bring an offering, and come into his courts. 9.30 worship JEHOVAH in the beauty of holiness: Tremble before him, all the earth.

SELECTION 70.

[Ps. cxiv.]

1. When Israel went out of Egypt,

The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2. Judah was his sanctuary,

Is ra-el his dominion.

3. The sea saw, and fled;

The Jordan was turn-ed back;

4. The mountains | skipped like rams, The hills like the young of the flock.

5. What ailed thee, O thou | sea, that thou fleddest? Thou Jordan, that thou wast turn-ed back?

6. Ye mountains, that ye | skipped like rams? Ye hills, like the young of the flock?

7. Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of JEHOVAH, At the presence of the GOD of Jacob;

8. Who turned the rock into a | pool of waters, The flint into a fountain of waters.

SELECTION 71.

1. Thou rulest the raging | of the sea:

[Ps. lxxxix. 9.]

When the waves thereof a rise, thou stillest them.

2. The heavens are thine, the earth | also is thine :

The world, and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. 1

3. Thou hast a mighty arm:

Strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.

4. Justice and judgment are the support of thy throne :

Mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

5. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound:

They shall walk, O JEHOVAH, | in the light of thy countenance.

6. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day :

And in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

7. For thou art the glory of their strength; And in thy favor our | horn shall be exalted. 8. For JEHOVAH | is our shield;

And the Holy One of | Israel is our King.

1. Come ye, and let us go up to the mount of Jehovah,

To the house of the GoD of Jacob;

And we will walk in his paths:

3. For out of Zion shall go | forth the law,

And the word of JEHOVAH from Jerusalem.

4. And he shall judge among the nations, And shall rebuke many people :

5. And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, And their spears into pruning-hooks:

6. Nation shall not lift up | sword against nation,
Neither shall they | learn war any more.

7. But they shall sit every man | under his vine,
And under his fig-tree, and none shall make afraid.
8. O house of Jacob, come ye,

And let us

walk in the light of JEHOVAH.

SELECTION 73.

[Ps. xxxiii.]

1. Rejoice in JEHOVAH, | O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.

2. Praise JEHOVAH with harp:

Sing to him with the | psaltery of ten strings.

3. Sing unto him a new song;

4Play skilfully with a loud noise.

4. For the word of JEHOVAH is right;

And all his works are done in truth.

5. He loveth justice and judgment:

The earth is full of the goodness of JEHOVAH.

6. By the word of JEHOVAH were the heavens made; And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layeth up the deep in stores.

8. Let all the earth | fear JEHOVAH :

Let all the inhabitants of the world | stand in awe of him: 9. For he spake, and it was;

He commanded, and it stood fast.

SELECTION 74.

[Ps. xxxiii. 10.]

1. JEHOVAH bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 2. The counsel of JEHOVAH | standeth forever,

The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

3. Blessed is the nation whose | GOD is JEHOVAH ;

The people whom he hath chosen | for his own inheritance.

4. JEHOVAH looketh from heaven;

He beholdeth | all the sons of men.

5. From the place of his habitation,

He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

6. He fashioneth their | hearts alike;

He considereth all their works.

7. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host:

A mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

8. An horse is a vain thing for safety:

Neither shall he de liver by his great strength. 9. Let thy mercy, O JEHOVAH, | be upon us, 4According as we hope in thee.

1. Blessed be the Lord | God of Israel ;

For he hath visited | and redeemed his people; 2. And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us, In the house of his servant David;

3. As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, Who have been | since the world began ;

4. That we should be saved from our enemies, And from the hand of all that hate us;

5. To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;

6. The oath which he sware to our | father Abraham, That he would grant unto us;

All the days of our life.

1. I will praise thee, O JEHOVAH, with all my heart; I will recount | all thy wonderful works.

2. I will be glad and rejoice in thee:

I will sing praises to thy name, O thou Most High. 3. For thou hast maintained my | right and my cause; Thou sattest in the | throne judging right.
