1. Bless JEHOVAH, O my soul;

And all that is within me, | bless his holy name.

2. JEHOVAH is | merciful and gracious,

Slow to anger, and great of mercy.

3. He will not always chide;

Neither will he | keep his anger forever.

4. He hath not dealt with us | after our sins;

Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

5. For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

6. As far as is the east from the west,

So far hath he removed our transgressions from us. [D. 3.]

1. Like as a father | pitieth his children,

So JEHOVAH pitieth them that fear him.

4. For the wind passeth over it, and it is not; And the place there of shall know it no more.

5. But the mercy of JEHOVAH is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,

And his righteousness | unto children's children;

6. To such as keep his covenant,

Thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6. JEHOVAH doeth righteousness,
