1. If thou turn away thy | foot from the sabbath, From doing thy pleasure on my holy day;

2. And call the sabbath | a delight,

The holy of JEHOVAH, honorable;

3. And shalt honor him, not doing | thine own ways, Nor finding thine own | pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

4. Then shalt thou delight thyself in JEHOVAH;

And I will cause thee to ride up on the high places of

the earth,

5. And feed thee with the heritage of | Jacob thy father: For the mouth of JEHOVAH hath spoken it.

4. For spoiling and violence are before me:
And there are that raise up | strife and contention.
5. Therefore the law is slacked,

And judgment doth | never go

6. For the wicked doth compass about the righteous; Therefore wrong | judgment proceedeth.

3. And he shall bear the glory,

And shall sit and rule up on his throne.

4. Shall I give my first-born for my transgressions,
The fruit of my body | for the sins of my soul?
5. He hath showed thee, | O man! what is good;
And what doth JEHOVAH require of thee,

6. But to do justly, and to love mercy,
And to walk | humbly with thy God?

1. Let favor | be showed to the wicked, Yet will he not learn righteousness:

2. In the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly,
And will not behold the | majesty of JEHOVAH.
3. Come, my people! | enter thou into thy chambers,
And shut thy doors about thee:

4. Hide thyself as it were for a little moment,

Until the indignation be overpast.

5. For behold! JEHOVAH Cometh out of his place,

To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:

6. The earth also shall disclose her blood,

And shall no more cover her slain.

1. I will declare thy | name to my brethren:

In the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

2. Ye that fear JEHOVAH, praise him;

'All ye the seed of Jacob, | glorify him; And fear him, all ye the seed of Israel: 3. For he hath not despised nor abhorred The affliction of the afflicted;

4. Neither hath he hid his | face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

5. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.[Dox. 7.]

SELECTION 228.

1. The meek shall | eat and be satisfied:

'They shall praise JEHOVAH that seek him :

Your heart shall live for ever:

2. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to And all the kindreds of the | nations shall worship before thee.

3. For the kingdom | is JEHOVAH'S:

And he is the Governor among the nations.

4. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: 'All they that go down to the dust shall | bow before him: And none can keep alive his own soul.

5. A seed shall serve him;

It shall be accounted to the | Lord for a generation.

6. They shall come, and declare his righteousness

To a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.
