1. In Judah | is God known :
His name is great in Israel.
2. In Salem also is his tabernacle,

And his dwelling | place in Zion. 3. There brake he the arrows

of the bow, The shield, and the sword, and the battle. 4. Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: The remainder of wrath shalt | Thou restrain. 5. Vow, and pay unto JEHOVAH your GOD: 'Let all that be round about him bring presents Unto him that | ought to be feared.

6. He shall cut off the spirit of princes: He is terrible to the | kings of the earth.

1. Thou art more | glorious and excellent Than the mountains of prey.

1. Thus my heart was grieved, And I was pricked | in my reins. 2. So foolish was | I, and ignorant : I was as a beast before thee.

3. Nevertheless I am | ever with thee:

Thou hast holden me by | my right hand. 4. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.

5. Whom have I in heaven but thee?

And none upon earth do I desire beside thee.

GOD is the rock of my heart, and my | portion for ever.

1. I waited patiently for JEHOVAH;

And he inclined unto me, and I heard my cry. 2. He brought me up also out of an | horrible pit, Out of the miry clay,

3. And set my feet up on a rock, And established my goings.

4. And he hath put a new song Praise unto our God:

5. Many shall see, and fear,

And shall trust | in JEHOVAH.

1. Fret not thyself because of | evildoers,

Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 1 2. For they shall soon be cut | down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.

3. Trust in JEHOVAH, and do good;

Thou shalt dwell in the land, and in | truth thou shalt

4. Delight thyself also | in JEHOVAH ;

And he shall give | thee the desires of thine heart.

5. Commit thy way unto JEHOVAH;

Trust also in him; and | he shall bring to pass.
