[Is. lxii.]

1. For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace,

And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, 2. Until the righteousness thereof go | forth as brightness,

And the salvation thereof, as a | lamp that burneth. 3. And the Gentiles shall I see thy righteousness,

And all | kings thy glory: 4. And thou shalt be called by a new name, Which the mouth of JE HOVAH shall name,

HOVAH, 5. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of Je

And a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 6. Thou shalt no more be termed, Forsaken;

Neither shall thy land any more be | term-ed, Desolate: 7. But thou shalt be call-ed, Hephzibah,

And | thy land, Beulah : 8. For JEHOVAH delighteth in thee,

And thy land shall be married. 9. For as a young man | marrieth a virgin,

So shall thy | sons marry thee: 10. And as the bridegroom rejoiceth | over the bride,

So shall thy God rejoice over thee.

SELECTION 313. 1. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, | 0 Jerusalem!

Who shall never hold their peace | day nor night: 2. Ye that make mention of JEHOVAH,

Keep not silence, and give him no rest, 3. Till | he establish,

And till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 4. JEHOVAH hath sworn by his right hand,

And by the arm of his strength, 5. Surely I will no more I give thy corn

To be meat / for thine enemies ; 6. 'And the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine,

For the which thou hast labored : 7. But they that have gathered | it shall eat it,

SELECTION 315. [Is. lx. 18.] 1. Violence shall no more be heard in thy land,

Wasting nor destruction within thy borders; 2. But thou shalt call thy walls, Salvation,

Neither for brightness shall the moon give | light to thee. 4. But JEHOVAH shall be unto thee an everlasting light, . And thy God thy glory. 5. Thy sun shall no | more go down;

SELECTION 317. 1. For thy Maker | is thy Husband;

Jehovah of hosts | is his name: 2. And thy Redeemer, the Holy | One of Israel;

The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 3. For Jehovah hath | call-ed thee,

As a woman forsaken and | grieved in spirit, 4. And a | wise of youth,

When thou wast refused, | saith thy God. 5. For a small moment have I forsaken thee;

But with great mercies will I | gather thee. 6. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment;

But with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, "Saith JeHOVAH | thy Redeemer. 7. For the mountains shall depart,

And the hills | be removed : 8. But my kindness shall not despart from thee,

Neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, Saith JEHOVAH that hath | mercy on thee.

[Ps. xci.] 1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2. I will say of JEHOVAH,

'He is my refuge and my fortress : My | God; in him will I trust.

And from the noisome pestilence. 4. He shall cover thee with his feathers,

And under his wings shalt thou trust.

His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;

Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6. Nor for the pestilence that | walketh in darkness;

Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7. A thousand shall | fall at thy side,

And ten thousand at | thy right hand;

But it shall not come nigh thee. 8. Only with thine eyes shalt | thou behold,

And I see the reward of the wicked.

I will love them freely :

For mine anger is turned away from him. 2. I will be as the dew unto Israel :

And cast | forth his roots as Lebanon. 3. His branches shall spread,

And his beauty shall be | as the olive-tree,

And his / smell shall be as Lebanon. 4. They that dwell under his shadow | shall return;

They shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine ;

The scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 5. Who so is wise,

And he shall understand these things;

Prudent, and he shall know them. 6. For the ways of JE|HOVAH are right,

And the just shall | walk in them:
But the transgressors shall fall therein.
