[Is. xxvi. 4.]

1. Trust ye in JEHOVAH for ever:

4For in JAH JEHOVAH | is the Rock of ages.

2. For he bringeth down them that | dwell on high; The lofty city, he layeth it low;

3. He layeth it | low, to the ground; He bringeth it | even to the dust.

4. The foot shall | tread it down,

The feet of the poor, the steps of the needy,

5. The way of the just is uprightness:

Thou, Most Upright! dost | weigh the path of the just. 6. Yea, in the way of thy judgments,

O JEHOVAH! have we waited for thee:

7. The desire of our soul is | to thy name, And to the remembrance of thee.

8. With my soul have I desired thee | in the night; Yea, with my spirit within me

I will I seek thee early: 9. For when thy judgments are | in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

SELECTION 333. [Is. xxxiii. 14.] 1. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire! Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings! 2. He that | walketh in righteousness

And speaketh | in uprightness;

3. He that despiseth the gain of oppressions, That shaketh his hands from | holding of bribes,

4. That stoppeth his ears from | hearing of blood, And shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

5. He shall dwell on high;

His place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: 6. Bread shall be | given him ;

His waters | shall be sure.

7. Thine eyes shall see the | King in his beauty:
"They shall behold the land that is | very far off.

1. Have ye not known? Have ye not heard?

2. Hath it not been told you | from the beginning?

Have ye not understood from the foundations | of the

earth?

3. It is He that sitteth upon the circle | of the earth,
And the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
4. That stretcheth out the heavens | as a curtain,
And spreadeth them out as a | tent to dwell in :
5. That bringeth the | princes to nothing;

'He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. 6. Yea, they shall not be planted;

'Yea, they shall not be sown:

Yea, their stock shall not take | root in the earth : 7. And He shall also blow upon them, and | they shall wither,

And the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

[Is. xli. 17.]

1. The poor and needy seek | water, and there is none, And their tongue doth | fail for thirst,

2. I JEHOVAH will hear them,

I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

And fountains in the midst of the valleys:

4. I will make the | wilderness a pool of water,

And the dry land | springs of water.

5. Bring my sons from far,

And my daughters from the ends of the earth:
6. Every one that is | called by my name;
For I have created him for my glory;

1. Thus saith JEHOVAH,

In an acceptable time | have I heard thee, And in a day of salvation | have I helped thee: 2. And I will preserve thee,

And give thee for a covenant of the people,

3. To establish the earth,

To cause to inherit the | desolate heritages: 4. That thou mayest say to the | prisoners, Go forth! To them that are in darkness, Show yourselves!

5. They shall feed in the ways,

And their pastures shall be in all high places. 6. They shall not | hunger nor thirst;

Neither shall the | heat nor sun smite them:

7. For he that hath mercy | on them shall lead them, Even by the springs of water | shall He guide them. 8. And I will make all my | mountains a way, And my highways shall be exalted.

9. Behold! these shall | come from far;

3And, lo! these from the north and | from the west; And these from the | land of Sinim.

1. We gat our bread with the peril | of our lives, Because of the | sword of the wilderness.

2. Our skin was | black like an oven, Because of the | terrible famine.

4. Princes are hanged | up by their hand: The faces of elders were not honored. 5. They took the young men to grind,

And the children fell | under the wood. 6. The elders have | ceased from the gate, The young men | from their music. 7. The joy of our | heart is ceased;

Our dance is | turned into mourning. 8. The crown is fallen | from our head: Woe unto us! that we have sinned.

4. I will not give sleep | to mine eyes,

Or slumber to mine eyelids,

5. Until I find out a place for JEHOVAH,

Habitations for the Mighty | One of Jacob.

6. Lo! we heard of it | at Ephratah:

We found it in the fields of the wood.

7. We will go into his tabernacles:

We will worship | at his footstool.

1. And he led me alway in the spirit

Upon a mountain | great and high,

For the Lord God Almighty, and the Lamb, are the

4. And the city had no | need of the sun,
