SELECTION 4.

1. Thy testimonies | are wonderful:
Therefore | doth my soul keep them.
2. The entrance of thy | words giveth light;
It giveth under standing to the simple.
3. I opened my | mouth, and panted:

For I longed for thy commandments.

[Ps. cxix. 129.]

4. Look thou upon me, and be | merciful to me,
As thou dost to those that love thy name.

5. Order my steps in thy word :

And let not any iniquity rule over me.

6. Deliver me from the oppression of man:
So will I keep thy precepts.

7. Make thy face to shine up on thy servant;
And teach thou me thy statutes.
8. Rivers of waters run | down mine eyes,
Because they do not keep thy law.

SELECTION 5.

[Ps. cxix. 169.]

1. Let my cry come near before thy face, | O JEHOVAH : Make me to understand according to thy word.

2. Let my supplication come before thy face: Deliver me according to thy word.

3. My lips shall | utter praise,

When thou hast taught me thy statutes.

4. My tongue shall | speak of thy word:

For all thy commandments are righteousness.

5. Let thine hand | be my help;
For I have chosen thy precepts.

6. I have longed for thy salvation, | O JEHOVAH ;
And thy law is my delight.

7. Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee;

And let thy judgments help me.

8. I have strayed like a lost sheep;

Seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

SELECTION 6.

1. Look upon mine affliction, | and deliver me :

For I do not forget thy law.

2. Plead my cause, and redeem me:
Revive me according to thy word.

3. Salvation is far from the wicked:
For they do not seek thy statutes.

4. Great are thy compassions, | O JEHOVAH :
Revive me according to thy judgments.
5. Many are my persecutors and mine enemies
I do not decline from thy testimonies.
6. I beheld the transgressors and was grieved;
Because they did not keep thy word.

7. Behold how I love thy precepts:

Revive me, O JEHOVAH, according to thy mercy. 8. The sum of thy | word is truth:

And every judgment of thy | justice is everlasting.

1. Happy are the perfect | in the way, Who walk in the law of JEHOVAH.

2. Happy are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with all the heart.

3. They also do | no iniquity

They walk in his ways.

4. Thou hast commanded

To keep thy precepts strictly.

5. O that my ways

Were directed to keep thy statutes!

6. Then shall I not be ashamed,

When I have respect to all thy commandments. 7. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,

When I shall have learned the | judgments of thy justice.

8. I will keep thy statutes:

O do not forsake me utterly.

1. Teach me, O JEHOVAH, the way of thy statutes, And I shall keep it to the end.

2. Make me to understand, and I shall | keep thy law; And I shall observe it with all the heart.

3. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For there in do I delight.

4. Incline my heart to thy testimonies,

And not to unrighteous gain.

5. Turn away mine eyes from be holding vanity; O revive me in thy way.

6. Establish thy word to thy servant,

Who is de voted to thy fear.

7. Turn away my reproach which I fear; For thy judgments are good.

8. Behold, I have | longed for thy precepts: O revive me in thy righteousness.

[Ps. cxix. 89.]

1. For ever, O Jehovah,

Thy word is established in heaven.

2. Thy truth is to generation and generation:

Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

3. They continue this day according to thy judgments:

For all are thy servants.

4. Unless thy law had been | my delights,

I should then have | perished in mine affliction.

5. I will never forget thy precepts;

For with them thou hast revived me.

6. I am thine, O save me;

For I have sought thy precepts.

7. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me :

I will consider thy testimonies.

8. I have seen an end of all perfection:

Thy commandment | is exceedingly broad.

1. Give the king thy | judgments, O GOD,
And the king's son thy righteousness.
2. He shall judge thy people with righteousness,
And thy poor with judgment.

3. The mountains shall bring peace to the people,
And the little hills, by righteousness.

4. He shall judge the poor of the people,

And save the children of the | needy, and crush the oppressor. 5. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, Through out all generations.

6. He shall come down like rain up on the mown grass; As showers that water the earth.

7. In his days shall the righteous flourish;

And abundance of peace till the moon be no more.

8. And he shall rule from sea to sea,

And from the river | to the ends of the earth.

1. Yea, all kings shall bow | down to him:

All nations shall serve him.

2. For he shall deliver the | needy that crieth;

The poor also, and | him that hath no helper. 3. He shall have compassion on the | poor and needy, And shall save the souls of the needy.

4. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence : And precious shall their | blood be in his eyes.
