[Ps. xxv.] 1. Unto thee, O JEHOVAH, do I lift up my soul :
O my God, I trust in thee : 2. Let me not be | put to shame,
Let not mine | enemies triumph over me. 3. Yea, let none that wait for thee be put to shame:
Let them be put to shame who transgress without a cause. 4. Make me to know thy ways,
O JEHOVAH, teach me thy paths. 5. Lead me in thy | truth, and teach me :
For thou art the God of my salvation : 2On thee | do I wait all the day.

[Ps. xxv. 14.] 1. The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him;
And he will make them to know his covenant. 2. Mine eyes are ever | toward JEHOVAH;
For he shall bring forth my feet out of the net. 3. Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me :
For I am | desolate and afflicted. 4. The troubles of my heart are enlarged :
O bring thou me out of my distresses. 5. Look upon mine affliction and my pain;
And | pardon all my sins. 6. Consider mine enemies, for | they are many;
And they hate me with cruel hatred. 7. O keep my soul, and deliver me:
Let me not be put to shame, for I trust in thee.

SELECTION 38. [Ps. xxvi. 8.] 1. O JEHOVAH, I have loved the abode of thy house,
And the place where thine honor dwelleth. 2. Gather not my | soul with sinners,
Nor my | life with men of blood :
And their right hand is full of bribes.
Redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
In the congregations will I bless JEHOVAH. 6. O give thanks to JEROVAH; for he is good,
For his mercy is forever.
SELECTION 39. [Ps. xxv. 8.] 1. Good and up right is Jehovah:
Therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
And the meek will he teach his way.
To those that keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
And his seed shall inherit the earth.

[Ps. liv.] 1. Save me, O God, by thy name,
And | judge me by thy strength. 2. Hear my | prayer, O God:
Give ear to the words of my mouth. 3. For strangers are risen | up against me,
And op pressors seek after my soul ; 2They have not set God before them. 4. Behold, | God is mine Helper:
The Lord is with them that uphold my soul. 5. He shall reward evil | to mine enemies :
Cut | thou them off in thy truth. 6. I will freely | sacrifice to thee :
I will praise thy name, O JEHOVAH, for it is good. 7. For he hath delivered me out of all trouble :
And mine eye hath | looked upon mine enemies.
SELECTION 41. [Ps. li. 15.] 1. Lord, open | thou my lips :
And my mouth shall declare thy praise. 2. For thou desirest not sacrifice, 1 else would I give :
Thou deslightest not in burnt-offering. 3. The sacrifices of God are a | broken spirit:
A broken and a contrite heart, o God, thou wilt not despise 4. Do good in thy good | pleasure to Zion: Build | thou the walls of Jerusalem.

4. I had rather sit at the threshold of the house of my GOD,
5. For Jehovah God is a sun and shield :

SELECTION 42. [Luke i. 76.] 1. And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest ;
For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare 2. To give knowledge of salvation to his people,
By the remission of their sins,
Whereby the dawn from on 'high hath visited us,

SELECTION 43. [Ps. lxxxiv. 8.] 1. O JEHOVAH, God of hosts, hear my prayer :
Give | ear, O God of Jacob. 2. Behold, 0 | God our shield, And look
upon the | face of thine anointed.

Jehovah | will give grace and glory: 6. No good will | he withhold
From them that walk uprightly. 7. O JEHOVAH of hosts,
1. I was glad when they | said unto me,
