SELECTION 53. 1. God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in troubles. 2. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be cast into the heart of the seas. 3. Though the waters thereof | roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. 4. Jehovah of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. 5. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city
The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. 6. God is in the midst of her; she shall | not be moved
God shall help her, at the approach of the morning. 7. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved :
He uttered his voice, the earth did melt. 8. JEHOVAH of hosts is with us:
The God of Jacob is our refuge.

SELECTION 54. 1. Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth ;
O sing | praises to the Lord, 2. To him that rideth upon the heavens of | heavens, of old;
Lo, he uttereth with his voice, a voice of strength. 3. Ascribe ye strength to God:
His exaltation is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. 4. O God, thou art to be feared from thy holy places: The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power to the peo

SELECTION 55. [Ps. lxviii. 4.] 1. Sing / unto God,
Sing praises to his name:

Is God in his holy habitation.

He is a buckler to all those that trust in him. 4. For who is God save JEHOVAH ?

SELECTION 58. [Ps. xxvii.] 1. JEHOVAH | is my light
And my salvation; whom shall I fear? 2. JEHOVAH is the strength of my life;
Of | whom shall I be afraid? 3. One thing have I desired of Jehovah, that will I seek;
That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah | all the days of

8. His enemies will I clothe with shame:
But upon him self his crown shall flourish.
4. To behold the beauty of JEHOVAH,
And to inquire in his temple.

SELECTION 59. [Ps. cxxxii. 8.] 1. Arise, O JEHOVAH, into thy rest;
Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
And let thy saints shout aloud for joy.
He hath desired it for his habitation. 4. This is my rest forever :
Here will I | dwell; for I have desired it.
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
And her saints shall 'shout aloud for joy.

And my cry came before him, into his ears. 8. Jehovah liveth ; and blessed | be
my rock; And let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Let the many isles be glad. 2. Clouds and darkness are round about him;
Justice and judgment | are the support of his throne. 3. A fire goeth before his face,
And burneth up his | enemies round about. 4. His lightnings enlightened the world :
The earth saw and trembled.
