PREFACE.

FOR the meagreness of the following "Additions," or references to medicines not yet included in the Homœopathic Materia Medica, the compiler offers his apology, and regrets not having been able to present a more comprehensive work on this important subject.

The difficulty lies in the very small sale any purely professional work on Homœopathy can command in this country.

Whether this fragment of fragments is to perform its uses as a reference, and die, or be extended to its legitimate limits, as a supplementary Materia Medica, rests upon the support that
