O house of Ifrael?

The Exhortation.

ALMIGHTY God, the Father of our Lord Jefus Chrift, who defireth not the death of a finner, but had rather that he would turn from his wickedness and live; and hath declared and promised to his people, being penitent, the abfolution and remiffion of their fins; he pardoneth and abfolveth all fuch as truly repent, and unfeignedly

feignedly obey the precepts of his holy gofpel; wherefore let us befeech him to accept our fincere repentance, and to grant us the grace of his holy fpirit, that those things may please him which we do at this prefent, and that the rest of our lives hereafter may be pure and holy, fo that at the last we may come to that eternal joy which is prepared for the faithful followers of Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

The General Confeffion.

ALMIGHTY God, Father of our Lord Jefus Chrift, Maker of all things, and Judge of all men; we acknowledge and bewail our manifold fins and wickedness, which we from time to time most grievously have committed, by thought, word, and

deed,

deed, against thy divine and holy law, thereby deferving thy juft difpleasure. We do earnestly repent, and are heartily forry for these our misdoings; the remembrance of which is grievous unto us ; have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us, most merciful Father; forgive us all that is past; and grant that we may ever hereafter serve and please thee, in newness of life, to the honour and glory of thy holy Amen.

name.

O God, our heavenly Father, who of thy great mercy haft vouchsafed to call us to the knowledge of thy grace and faith in thee, increase this knowledge, and confirm this faith in us evermore, that by the aid of thy holy fpirit, we may be enabled to fubdue all our evil and corrupt affections, and to proceed in all virtue and godliness, until we come to that everlasting kingdom, which thou haft promised to the faithful followers of Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

OUR

OUR Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; Give us day by day our daily bread; and forgive us our trefpaffes, as we forgive them who trespass against us: Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

¶ Here, all ftanding up, the Minister fhall read the following Pfalm.

Pfalm XCV. 1-7.

O COME, let us fing unto the Lord; let us heartily rejoice in the ftrength of our falvation.

For

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth; the ftrength of the hills is his also. The fea is his, and he made it: and his hands prepared the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

For he is the Lord our God; and we are the people of his pafture, and the sheep of his hand.
