7. We also pray thee heartily
For this part of our Unity:
Feed and encrease
Thy Flock always

In truth and grace;
Thro' Fellowship,
And thy Pow'r, keep
Their weaklinefs.

8. Keep off the Dev'l's temptation,
Antichrift's Perfecution :

Thyfelf ftop them,

And their whole scheme

Abortive make;
That against it

Manly may fight
E'en Members weak.

9. Let us feel thy pow'r, that thy
Name

Be not defpis'd, or put to fhame,
Which thro' kindness

Hath over us Profeffed been ; But let it be

Made known, as we Hope 'twill be seen.

10. For all those Shepherds we pray
thee,

Whom thou appoint'ft Bishops to be;
O give them grace
To rule always
Counsell'd by thee,

Faithful t' o'erfee,

Orn'ments to be
To thy Fam❜ly.

11. Their Helpers in the miniftry
And Fellow-fervants rule, that they
Unan'moufly,
And faithfully
Thy Sheep may feed.
The Wolves keep out,
Bafe hirelings rout,
Deftroy their breed.

12. For ev'ry Congregation,
Where thou'ft thy Habitation,
Here unto thee
We pray humbly,
Richly to pour

On each of them

Thy Bleffing's ftream,
Like a warm fhow'r.

13. Open the Door for Truth,that we
Chrift's Myftery with liberty
May peak compleat,

A favour fweet

T'all men afford.
Gather thereby

A Church for thee
From curfe restor'd.

14. Open the People's Hearts, O
Lord!

That, ftirr'd up, they may mind thy
Word,
Converted be
To thy glory.
Lord, illumine

Their Intelle&
With truth perfect,
Increase the Shine.

15.We pray thee for the Magiftrates,
To fill their hearts with kindness
great

To thy Flock dear,
That without fear.
It under them
Live honestly,
In Peace and joy
Exalt thy Name.

16. For those, who're thine and our
Foes blind,

We pray thee, change them into
friends.

Forgive their load
Of Sin, O God!
To thy honour:

Their tricks (which all
Prove their own fall,)
Thyself hinder.

17. But unto those especially
Shew forth thy Grace and mercy
free,

Who guard and keep
From Harm thy Sheep;
On them bestow

Profpe.

Profperity, And conftancy Ever as now.

18. For those that perfecuted are,
To fill them with joy, is our pray'r;
Grant that they here
May perfevere

In faith alway;
Ever them own,
And keep their Crown
Unto thy Day.

19. The Sick we unto thee commend;

'In Troubles let all firmly stand :
As thou know'st best
How they're distress'd,
So make them free
From grief and fmart,
That their glad Heart
Ever praise thee.

Because, instead of life, 'tis death Th' unworthy comer thereby hath. 4. Thou shalt the heav'nly Father laud,

That he vouchfafes to thee fuch food, And hath giv'n up his only Son For thy tranfgreffions to atone. 5. Thou shalt believe, without all doubt,

This food for Sick-ones was found out,

For fouls, who by the fenfe of Sin Are contrite and bow'd down within. 6. The needy hearts alone do feaft On Grace and Mercy here expreft: Art thou not poor, but in rich cafe? Keep off,left thou meet with disgrace. 7. He fays himself: Ye weary come! For you I've always help and room: The whole do no Physician crave, But turn to mockery the falve.

8. Could't thou thyfelf have ought procur'd,

Why needed I t'have Death endur'd?

If from thyself thy help is fought.
9. But if thy Heart be in fuch frame,
To fay with truth, I hungry am!
Then art thou properly prepar'd,
And this Food will refresh thy heart.
10. The Fruits will also then enfue;
To love thy Neighbour, as is due,
And to him beneficial be,

As thy God has fhewn love to thee.

And doth give her,
At his Approaches,

Her Tent wholly

He from reproach frees,
So by th' Word regenerated,
In fair gifts inftated,
She's to blifs tranflated.

And meekly enquiredft After God's bleft word and mind, which thou fo defiredst.

Which is accepted at God's throne;
The which he pleads

Receive our petition.
