been extended towards us, whom thou hast so powerfully and wonderfully defended. Thou hast showed us terrible things, and wonders in the deep, that we might see how powerful and gracious à God a thou art; how able and ready to help those who trust in thee. Thou hast showed us how both winds and seas obey thy command; that we may learn even from them hereafter to obey thy voice, and to do thy will. We therefore bless and glorify thy name, for this thy mercy, ing us when we were ready to perish. And we beseech thee, make us as truly sensible now of thy mercy, as we were then of the danger; and give us hearts always ready to express our thankfulness, not only by words, but also by our live, in being more obedient to thy holy commandments. Continue, we beseech thee, this thy goodness to us; that we, whom thou hast saved, may serve thee in holiness and righteousness all the days of our life, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

The Service is to be introduced by the following Address from the Minister to the People.
O BE joyful in the Lord, all ye people; serve the Lord with gladness, and come before his presence with a song
FOR MORNING OR EVENING.
Be ye sure that the Lord he is God; it is he who hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with I' praise; be thankful unto him, and speak good of his name.
For the Lord is gracious, his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth from generation to generation.
Unto the Lord our God will we lift up our souls, and magnify his name together.
O LORD God Almighty, before whom all creatures bow, the fountain of life and the father of all mercies, we thine unworthy servants come before thee in humble acknowledgment of thine eternal power and majesty. Thou art the only living and true God; thy kingdom ruleth over all, and thy goodness is without bounds. Assist us to worship thee in spirit and in truth; may we celebrate thy perfections and speak of thy wonderful works with reverence; give thanks unto thee, and sing thy praises with joy; humble ourselves before thee with sincere and contrite hearts; and pray unto
true God; God in heaven above, and earth beneath, and throughout all worlds; there is none beside thee.
Peo. Unto us there is but one God; to whom be glory for ever.
Min. Thou alone art from everlasting, without beginning of days, or end of years; thou livest and reignest for ever and ever.
Peo. We magnify thee, the high and lofty One, who inhabitest eternity.
Min. Thou art a spiritual and incorruptible being; who dwellest in light inaccessible, and full of glory; whom no mortal eye hath seen, or can see.
Peo. We would wor
ship thee, who art a spirit, in spirit and in truth.
Min. Infinite art thou, O God; thou dwellest not in temples made with hands; the universe is thy temple, thou art present at all times in every part of thy doininion.
Peo. In thee we live, and move, and have our being.
Min. Thine is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the majesty all things in heaven and earth are thine; thine is the kingdom, and thou art
