PREFACE.

In asking for the "Business-Man's Hand-Book " a kindly greeting from its subscribers, the Editor desires to say that it contains much valuable information in small space. It does not cover everything that a business man should know, but will often answer a question for him on very many points. The Editor has made the best selection he could from the different sources at his disposal, and trusts that within this

small volume he has combined an amount of information and interest that would only be found in larger and more expensive publications. Ed.
